Gender-based violence is a complex issue, but we want to empower you contribute to the solution. Whether that’s for your role in a community group, such as a sport or recreation club, social group or interest group, or just because you want to make your community a better place, this course is for you.
Learn about the drivers and impact of gender-based violence and some steps you can take within your community to prevent it.

In solidarity across Australia, join us for 16 days of Activism against gender based violence and discrimination. Make your voice heard as we print for activism at Bunjil Place Library. Etch your mark and create a print design that shows your support for equality, peace and respect.
Art supplies provided, bring an old shirt or smock, things might get messy.

Womens’ Preventative Health
Friday 2nd December, 2:00pm

In this health education session the Team from The Water Well Project will discuss risk factors to illnesses and their prevention, early detection of specific diseases, health checks, and maintenance of your health and wellbeing.
The session, specifically designed for female community members, will also cover gender specific information including Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening as well as topics such as mental health, sexual health and healthy relationships.
Self Defence For Women And Girls
Saturday 3rd December, 10.30AM
Emerald Library
Gain courage, confidence and become empowered during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence.
This female only self-defence classes will help teach the skills and techniques for self-defence within a relaxed, safe and friendly environment.
We recommend this course for ages 10+, it is not overly demanding physically, but the subject matter may be confronting for young children.
