Ageing Well Seniors Festival

Head on down to Pakenham Library on Thursday 28 October from 10am to 4.30pm and join us for our Ageing Well Seniors Festival, held in partnership with Cardinia Shire Council.  We’ll have a day full of entertainment, special guest speakers, presentations and workshops for you to check out.

Whether you want to learn more about online safety, take part in a fun hands-on workshop or listen to inspiring guest speakers, your Senior’s Festival is the place to be!

Please note, all sessions and the festival itself will run in accordance with the State Government’s COVID advice at the time and alternative arrangements will be made subject to restrictions.

How To Enjoy A Successful Retirement And Family History For Beginners
Pakenham Library, Thursday 28 October 2021 – 10am

Enjoy a Devonshire tea with live music and listen to Estelle Kelly share her wisdom and resources for a successful retirement including her 7 core principles to gain success. Enjoy being taken on a positive and uplifting journey on the advantages and benefits of retirement.

Then join us at 11am for an engaging session with local history officer Heather Arnold, who will take you through the basics of family history – where to start and where to look for information to build your family tree. If you are new to family history then this session is for you.

Enjoy a Devonshire tea with live music and join Greg from the office of eSafety in this workshop designed to support online safety and awareness, including the pitfalls and positives of being digitally connected.

Then at 1pm join our digital guru Ryan who will show us how easy it is to use social media platforms with just some basic knowledge. By the end of this session, you will know how to connect with friends, see and share photos of loved ones and keep up to date with what’s going on in your social circle.
