Member of Casey Cardinia Libraries now have access to more than 6000 courses in business, technology and creative skills thanks to a new partnership between CCL and Lynda.com – an online learning company.

Cardinia Shire Mayor, Cr Colin Ross said it was an exciting opportunity for local business people, students and interested residents alike. “‘Partnering with Casey Cardinia Libraries maximises your return on investment. With just a library card, you can now also access trusted industry experts from across the world through more than 6000 online courses – for free,” Cr Ross said.
“‘This platform offers courses for any stage of business; from specialised course such as software development and design, to more generic business courses, such as project management and leadership.”
City of Casey Mayor Cr Geoff Ablett said there were great benefits to online learning.
“For small business people, especially those working on a young business, it can be hard to find time to pursue further education. Opportunities such as this opens doors for those people by allowing them to work in their own time and at their own pace. “We’re working hard to ensure that our local business community have every opportunity to grow their business, while helping to build our local economy and increase local employment opportunities,” said Cr Ablett.
