Children's Book Week 2022

Join us to celebrate CBCA (Children’s Book Council Australia) Book Week from 20 – 26 August 2022.  This year’s theme is ‘Dreaming with eyes open’ and we have a range of events and programs happening during the course of the week as well as our Book Week Dress Up Competition

Competition opens Monday 15 August at 9am
Competition closes Friday 2 September at 5pm

How To Enter
Take a picture of your child dressed as their favourite Book character in celebration of Book Week 2022.

Upload the picture to the Casey Cardinia Libraries Facebook page and in the post tell us which book or character your child is dressing up as

Your child will go into the draw to win a Robinsons Book Store Voucher

Illustration Workshop With Michael Camilleri

Are you interested in the art of illustrating? We are so lucky to have Michael Camilleri coming for a fun workshop on illustrating stories!
Michael is a Melbourne artist who creates books, comics and visual theatre. Michael’s latest illustration work can be seen in One Minute’s Silence by David Metzenthen. His illustration work also features in The Devil You Know by Leonie Norrington and on the album art and accompanying picture book for Martin Martini’s Vienna 1913. Michael has drawn for animated educational films and storyboards for ads, drawn portraits, made puppets, sets and props and also directs theatre.
