Find My Past is generously giving library members access to Find my Past from anywhere, but only until 31st August 2021. This now includes access to the British Newspaper Archive.   To access, once logged in to Find My Past, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the link to the British Newspaper Archive.

You must login with your library card and password.

If you have a library membership but can’t login – you can reset your password online, or contact us.

If you don’t have a library membership, you can join online or contact us.

Please note that due to licensing restrictions, Find my Past, is only available in our libraries – through a library PC or using library WiFi on your own device, for new searches. However, viewed records can be later accessed through a user account – see below.

User Accounts
Users also have the ability to register their own accounts and sign in, by registering, your users will also gain access to the My Research area which will enable them to keep track of their researches and use the family tree program to build their family tree.  Users can register their own account at the following page –

Benefits of an Account
The same features that you get in the library (free Family Tree, Saved Records etc) – no features are removed.

Access to any records that you view from within the library – even after you have left! All records that your customers view via Findmypast in the library can be viewed again for free when they sign in to their account
